So you don't think the virus is just going to sweep unchecked through vast swathes of the population until people either perish or recover?I wasn't highlighting the second part of your post, I was highlighting the lie in the first part.

Small village pub, everyone knows everyone. The staff will do a check and put them on the list, once off, then check others as they arrive. Anyone outside, and we have a big outside area, is not an issue. There are a number of pubs around us that have recently had to close for ten days to do a deep clean because staff got Covid. Hopefully we’ll be fine before getting past the 19th…..
Pubs and entertainment venues are going to have to be set up for it come autumn or they won't have insurance - that's my dad's theory anyway, and he ran places for 40 years.
This all relates to the covid pass thing, obviously. If your place isn't geared up for checks for people (I guess it'd have to be QR'd for a lot of places on the door @peteblue ?) then insurance companies won't pay out if they end up having to shut for COVID-related reasons. Like near Pete, one of our locals had to shut for 2 weeks recently because of a COVID outbreak among their staff.
It's crap but it's the way it's gonna be to get people vaccinated. Two-tier society ultimately, but the idiots who haven't got vaccinated - barring ones with genuine concerns like pregnancy etc - will need to get it done.
On that note, have today moved my second dose to mid-August, but I'm planning to go to a walk-in by the end of this month (so 3-6 weeks after my first dose). Just want to check the recommendations for what is actually the best gap for Pfizer. They tested 3 weeks initially but real-world evidence is suggesting 6-8 is best for long-term protection. I wanna be dosed up asap, which at least avoids isolation unless I actually have the thing.
No idea, wasn't passing an opinion on the percentage of people who will catch it, was simply highlighting this lie: "They don't until everybody catches [it] and either lives or dies"So you don't think the virus is just going to sweep unchecked through vast swathes of the population until people either perish or recover?
It's grim either way, isn't it.There's still going to be an awful lot of sick and poorly people, some with long term effects.
Still as long as they don't die or even need to be hospitalised, then it's all fine isn't it.
Sorry for being hyperbolic - It just feels that way at the momentNo idea, wasn't passing an opinion on the percentage of people who will catch it, was simply highlighting this lie: "They don't until everybody catches [it] and either lives or dies"
We all rightfully point out, condemn (and often laugh at) nutjob anti-vax misinformation on here, but that's just as bad. Let's stick to facts, not easily disprovable fibs.
Do have a link or something for this? i might rebook mine. There are so many different things out there. Mine is currently 12 weeks later.
Fair play. I don't trust them either, but I also don't envy them in the slightest. Every option available to them is awful - it's merely a case of trying to choose the least apocalyptic option available to them.Sorry for being hyperbolic - It just feels that way at the moment
I don't trust this government to make a single decision in the best interest of the plebs

You can rebook via the app, my second was due this week but i got mine a few weeks back by rebooking the test.

Just go on 'manage booking' - you'll need your booking ref. for your second jab to log in and then you can just check availability - it should come up with ones from 8 weeks from your first dose
Don't think this is legal?..Had the first jab myself and waiting but still too early for this stuff imoWe’re letting no one in the pub unless they’ve had two jabs……
Sorry, i meant to 6-8 weeks evidence! I've found a few bits now.
I have a wedding to go to on 20 Aug and my 2nd vaccine is on the 24 Aug. think it would be sensible to have it before, maybe. although i'd like to think everyone will take a test beforehand.
