a 70+ friend of mine (from a tennis forum) just wrote this to me:

The bad news is that I am in the very highest risk group.
The good news is that I have lived about 90% of my life already. So I have relatively little to lose.
What will the furture be like? Will that remaining 10% of life be of a quality that even makes it worth it?

Speaking with friends online, also at high risk, we are coming around to thinking that the only solution may be to let it infect the entire community until everyone left is immune.
Because maybe the time it will take to return to what we now consider a normal, happy life may be more than the time we have left.

Two months ago I never dreamed I would be considering such options.

Cumbria. I'm not in trouble at the moment, I'm capable and stuff of leaving the house, just with all the stockpiling going on, it's hard to get stuff and I don't have a lot of money.
