so.. i ca 't go and visit my mum now as Burnley is a covid variant hotspot and the GOV have told people not to travel in or out.

I thought this was coming to an end?!?

Tbf these hotspots need tackling before its spread across the country. Like someone said have a test before going and a test when you get back.

I hope one day Twitter and the rest of “Social Media” gets its comeuppance. I haven’t used Facebook for two years now although a profile still floats about, and never joined any of the others.

This Indian scaremongering is nothing but pathetic. The vaccines are working and figures good enough to move on come June 21st.

I think the Tories will stick to the 21st June date for their own self image but dont be suprised to see "limitations" be brought in to essentially water down "the end of restrictions".

Its either total freedom or not for me - if they are going to fanny around with half measures move the June date back a month or so if they are that worried.

Otherwise the worry is the minor restrictions become the "new normal" and it never ends.

Nothing suggests that 21st June wont be total freedom back to our lives, but if they try to impose more strictions beyond this i believe absolutely no one will listen and carry on regardless.

We need to get away from 'cases' as its scaremongering and misleading to the current situation, quite frankly it doesn't matter anymore its hospitalizations and deaths that do matter.
