They seemed concerned, but not overly earlier. As in, its a PITA, but the impact on health and hospitalisations, so far, is minimal.

I cant help but feel for the young'uns. They have spent over a year doing stuff to protect their elders, who are now mostly jabbed, and now, they are at risk of getting infected, without much protection. The hope is they shrug it off.

Mentioned it before on here but in my family we've been impacted much worse by the lockdown than the virus itself. Not really bothered about myself but mentally its tough to see people you care about suffering.

Everyone one on the planet lives through this in their own prism.

Without wanting to sound stupid, but I think you will appreciate the analogy, it must have been similar in the war. The cities got pounded, the youngsters went to fight, the "lucky" ones in small towns and villages were not unaware or unaffected by it, but day to day, it was a pain, not a threat.

Truly pathetic situation the government has got us all involved in over this Indian variant, a party and Government that proudly boasts its abilities of taking control of borders fails miserably again.
Month ago controlling Indian travel should have come in. Now all that effort for June 21st now in jeopardy because of the desire for upmanship over EU trade deal with India, bunch kin useless arseholes this Brexit obsessed Government.

It is infuriating.

Earlier today, Johnson said sommet like we have robust controls and quarantine proceedures. Well, clearly, we dont. Still.

I've been ignoring much of the news so maybe I'm out of the loop and being thick, but I thought India was a red list country requiring hotel quarantine 9n arrival in the uk? Or have the only just suddenly slipped India on the list?

Mind you, it only takes a few folk from India travelling into other countries not on our red list (or vice versa), starting the spread, and then someone else travelling between the UK and second country.

Lad I work with travelled to and from Nigeris via Turkey for work purposes. Madness imho
