Yeah the vaccines are speeding up here now. 4.5 million done last week and they reckon more this week. Regarding the tumbling cases I don't like to be a conspiracy theorist but they put a nationwide measure in place the other week where strict restrictions (like curfews etc) are put in place where incidences are over 100, and schools have to shut where incidences are over 165. And then suddenly the cases start dropping after 3-4 months of growth lol But yes the vaccines are doing well now so I think we'll see a big improvement here by the end of this month.A selection I think mate, Germany’s figures are tumbling, think they set a new record last week of something ridiculous like 1mill vaccines doses in a day. Spain & Italy to are seeing falling numbers.
Its France who seem to be having trouble in Europe.
Shout out to Malta who broke through 50% last week and are doing their over 30s now.
My ex neighbour was a granddad at 32. And it wasn't even his eldest daughter that made him one.you are u-50 and you have grandchildren mate?? how was that possible lol
Some of the early vaccinations were done early December.. Hence a top up 10 months later for winter..But do they only give a few months coverage?
That just sounds like we have to become vessels for vaccine every few weeks.
The truth is that no one knows how long these vaccines last.
Because they had no lockdowns or social distancing rules in place at all.Exactly. But we saw how it set India on fire.
Hopefully not but there are definitely indications from India that younger unvaccinated patients are being affected more compared to their earlier wave of the wild strain. Probably a lot will be the breakdown in the healthcare system - if you don’t have oxygen even a healthy 20 year old may succumb. However whilst not wanting to overreact, complacency also needs to be avoided. The good news of course is that vaccinations still seem effective against it.
As a physician I can vouch that this strain seems far more infectious, is probably more lethal, and seems to affect the young more frequently than the initial wave. Younger patients between the ages of 26 and 44 now account for about 40 per cent of all cases and almost 10 per cent of deaths.
Most were done for the over 50 age group much later on. In some cases there'd be a gap of about 3 months each time between 1st, 2nd and 3rd shots. Some of the early vaccinations were done early December.. Hence a top up 10 months later for winter..
You could have grandchildren at 32...you are u-50 and you have grandchildren mate?? how was that possible lol
