Hospital figures - 8 deaths were announced today, up 4 on yesterday and down 19 on last Tuesday. 7 deaths were in English hospitals, up 4 on yesterday and down 19 on last week. The 7 day rolling average falls to 12.86

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 4 deaths were announced today, up 3 on yesterday and down 13 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 13.14

For the 60 day cut off, 7 deaths were announced today, up 5 on yesterday’s late total of 2 and down 45 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 31.14

Worth noting that today’s totals are lower than normal for a Tuesday due to Monday being a bank holiday. There should be a higher than normal total tomorrow as the data catch up will be then

How hard is it to count to 4, even on a bank holiday.......

Unlucky young uns.

Oh crap, im under 50!

See, my dad has said he won't take it if offered, and it's done me in a bit.

He's got his first dose and will be getting his second in a few weeks. He's not anti-vax by any means, he just thinks the whole thing is getting ridiculous.

My argument is that he gets the flu jab every year anyway so what's the difference if he needs a booster for this.

He likes to be contrary so if indeed they do roll another one out then I hope he takes it up.

Just wonder if there'll be a lot of people like that who are basically sick to the back teeth of it all and getting told they need yet another jab etc.

I mean, really, I don't need a vaccine. I'm 26, in good health, and everyone who is in any danger who I know or am related to will be fully vaccinated because of their age/any medical conditions. So I wouldn't really be worried about getting it or indeed passing it on. But it's not worth the minimal risk and I'm obviously going to get one when the time comes, even if there is no rush (I guess I'll be getting a text in the next month).

Yeah, a 3rd vaccine in a year will be a pretty tough sell I would imagine.
