Wouldn't surprise me if he said it. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

Thing that I don't get with all this is that it's supposedly coming from Cummings, yep?

The same Cummings that was getting slated as a liar, deceiver, cheat, murderer last year (probably all true) is now seemingly suddenly to be believed explicitly without question?

But I'm with you Mac, exactly the same tbh, and as Legs says, that's probably a pretty bad indictment.

TBF the way the Mail has reported this makes it sound like there is a separate source, not just Cummings.

edit: it might actually be several separate sources:

“But those who say they heard it stand by their claim”

Yeah fair enough

Honestly I'm not surprised, and equally wouldn't be surprised if it's not true either. If it is true then obviously there should be/has to be consequences, albeit I have little faith that there would be.

I'm taking a step back from it all now - the Super League nonsense kept me busy last week. Just getting on with whatever the rules are.

Did sign back up for the gym the other day and even though I've only used it so far to go for a swim, it's been great (and weird) to have that bit of normality back

Having seen how utterly corrupt and slippery this bunch of monkeys are, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was fabricated just so it can be disproven.

Minutes of the meeting detailing every cough, fart and sneeze suddenly becomes available and prove it was never said.

Nicely setting up the operation to discredit anything else, however true, about to be levelled at Johnson and smearing Cummings & Co for making up such vile lies about our caring leader.

the way Mail online have reported that - with at least two “but libertarian Boris” articles and one attacking lockdowns present - strongly suggests that yes, he said that
As far as I'm concerned, the only fact on display here is the fact that it was published by the Mail. That, in itself, is enough for me to question the validity, irrespective of who the article is about. They are a shameless outfit who will print anything for clicks.

As regards the subject matter, there are certain people who you would expect to make such a comment, some people who you wouldn't expect it of, and some you wouldn't be surprised at. For me Johnson is in the latter group. The big question mark I have over it is that he himself was seriously ill with the disease.

Most people will believe what they want to believe based on their own personal opinion of Johnson. It's just the way it is.
