Second jab appointment just through for this Sunday. Hoping for less shivers than the first one produced.

And @marnie, I see some restrictions being lifted in Greece, even though the past week has seen some of the highest number of cases and deaths. Greek government saying travellers fully vaccinated will be allowed from mid May :)
Good luck with jab mate.Yeah it's looking promising now.The majority of cases now are from the mainland....Attica/ Thessaloniki/Patras areas. Will be good to get out and have a pint on May 3rd.

When you say fully vaccinated both doses then?

Well, at least one person has gone very quiet on here ( again ) lol

If the numbers remain similar over the next couple of weeks it looks pretty certain that we shall be opening up the inside of pubs on the 17th May. It’s been a real learning curve for our staff and for the logistics of operating so much outside and to Covid standards, but they’ve done a great job......

Talking of vaccines kicking its arse to quote Pete, here is some information that only makes his point even more valid......

18 deaths today compared to 30 this time last week. The seven day rolling average based on the 28 day cut off, drops to 22. The last time it has been at this number was September 21st.

The death figures day by day so far this week have been 4, 33, 22, 18 giving us a current weekly total of 77. This time last week we had daily numbers of 13, 23, 38, 30 which total up to 104. We are therefore 27 better than last week at this rate. That week ended with 183 additional deaths in total. 34, 35 and 10 were the deaths on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There are 2,729 new cases, slightly up from 2,672 from the same day last week. There have been well over a million tests though. It’s worth remembering that cases are not as important now as the government in their four tests do not look at these as such.

Worldometer has updated their recovery figures to 4,171,798, an increase from yesterday’s 4,166,734. Yesterday the site recorded a current total of 101,642 people with the virus. It now stands at 99,288.... we are finally below 100,000.

And to put that active cases number of 99,288 into perspective... France currently stands at 1,054,113.............
