Whilst it’s raging in countries like Brazil and India, everywhere else is threatened too.
Then you have the other extreme, which is Australia. Virtually zero cases, but won’t let anyone in or out !!!

At least it’s red listed now and surge postcode testing can get under way (it’s going to happen shortly as reported on BBC online). Delhi has begun its lockdown which will help in the meantime until Friday when India as a whole’s U.K. red listing is implemented.
Hopefully the test that can detect the variant if it’s positive won’t be a long wait.
Q2 . was when EU supply would be turbo boosted. I’ve always been of the opinion both regions will get there pretty much the same time.

Except that the EU is x7 times larger....
But also lead vaccine supplier & biggest contributor to Covax, arguably morally the EU is vaccinating the world. In that context who wants to finish first really and what’s the real prize. For context the EU has vaccinated 88 million, exported 77 million and been the lead contributor to Covax’s 31 mill so far.
