People can't put their political allegiances aside mate.

Labour need to start supporting now and stop whinging. I've got nothing against an opposition party pushing the government but now its time for them all to get a grip and work through this.

lol

Pretty much agree with this. They’ve been far too slow, and Boris is a chancer and proven liar, who, to me looks completely shell-shocked. But, they’ve generally gone with the expert medical advice, and have just taken the drastic economic steps needed to stop the country tanking. Rishi Sunak seems competent and statesmanlike, far more so than the guy he’s next to.
He’s just outshone him ten fold. Was a coming of age moment for a politician. Sometimes poor leaders have great reigns through a strong team behind him. Hopefully they carry on with this rhetoric and the country will reunite and hopefully become less divided.

The going has gotten tough and capitalism has folded to make way for socialism.

Further proof that, like it wasn't need already, that the free market does not work.

Honestly C, you need a mix of both. Outright socialism doesn't work and neither does outright capitalism.

This isn't going to be sustainable at all. Like, self-employed people can't live off £95 a week can we.

And thanks for sharing that Tweet earlier btw

They can spread the debt over 40 years. Looks bad in the accounts, but in reality, it will repaid like we repaid the US for their post WW2 "help"
Exactly. Our national debt versus GDP was 270% and many years we were making repayments as much as 20% of GDP. This is nowhere near as bas as that.

It's far from rosy, but we will be able to spread this over a long period of time and at least we're not the only country in this situation - it's a global cris

Exactly mate. I’m a labour supporter and a genuine tory bad mouther however today what they are doing is greater than I could ever imagine. It’s an immense moment in our history which if they follow through will keep them in number 10 for years and years to come.
If it were ten or twenty years ago, he'd have got chinned because he was literally spewing hatred and scaremongering against relatively new recruits.

Right now, I don't envy anyone who is in power and I'll happily support whoever it is as long as they do a good job, which is akin to my support of Churchill.
