But let another 10,000 die while we see if we can save 10
Not to mention the untold damage we'd do to people both physically and mentally by extending these lockdowns. There's no question that lockdowns have been necessary over the past year, but how much longer can we go on like this? At what point do we consider people's mental health? It's not sustainable.

Looks like I'll be joining anti-lockdown protests in a few months.

TBF if we end up with another lockdown, that should be it for this government. By then they'll have had three chances to put something in place that prevents unnecessary deaths and lockdowns, and three times they'll have failed. Leaving them to carry on would be ruinous for the future of this country.

Never protested before, find the idea of them stupid in general, but if they have another lockdown with no data to support it I'll be protesting.

I don't think I'd be the only newbie to protesting either. There's no valid reason for them anymore.

Its pretty minimal as it is.

I can be arsed now, so read these selected side effects Mrs R runs every day.

Increased risk of infections.
Infection of veins in the legs.
Blood clots.
Thrush/fungal infections.
Tendon rupture.
Delays in bone healing. (She had no unbroken rib and a broken sternum btw)
Pencreatitus
Ulcers in the windpipe
Stomach ulcers
Heart Failure
Irregular heart beat
High blood pressure.
Epilepsy/Seizures.
Severe blood loss.
Infection of the cornea.

Thats about half of them.

If you dont believe me, google Fludrocortisone Acetate.
But how many of those side effects would happen in every 600,000 patients causing death? That's the comparison.

There would be then though; if they were brought to the point of bringing another lockdown in it would mean we would be heading for three or low four figures of deaths a day again, and there would be no other choice that they could possibly make.

If it happened, there would absolutely be huge levels of anger at them but it should be about the failure of the policy - of them, really - rather than against the lockdown, the latter of which would be an easy way for many of the guilty (the CRG for example) to pretend that they weren't to blame for it.

I don't think deaths will be anywhere near that. They'll be locking down solely on infection rates.

Deaths will largely be from people who have refused vaccination.

Make it 'kin rain for a month.
I bet you're getting your old native Indian kit you used to wear as a kid out of the attic Dave. You'll be building a wigwam in the back garden tomorrow.

You'll be dancing through the night with the Mrs on the bongo drums. wooh wooh wooh wooh wooh. lol

Sorry officer. I have to make it rain on the murdering scum.

There was snow here earlier. It's just a pity it didn't hold off for another week.

Not a clue.

I will look at the possible side effects of the other 4 daily pills she takes though. (I wont).

But on a similar theme, we were both asked before we were jabbed about allergies to nuts and eggs, and if we had any covid issues.

These are what Mrs R's (tiny) pill would be asked about.

Have you had;

Fungal infections
TB
Bowel disorder or stomach ulcer
Inflammation of veins in the legs
Mental disorders/epilepsy
Kidney/liver/thyroid issues
Any cancer
Brittle bones
Measles/rash
Plus another 10 that I cba posting.

For the record, she has had 2 of those, back in the day, but risk versus protection was a no brainer. And I would warrant that the UK population, per 600000, have had way more than 1 of those.
