But they do not have a stockpile, there is actually a shortage (due to procurement shambles). Why don't they just use the millions of AZ vaccines that they have stockpiled?
Well it seems the 10 ,12 week spacing seems to be working can't believe more countries not doing it.Get them jabs in as many people as quick as you can .
Macron said it was "quasi ineffective in over 65's" and results were not encouraging in the 60-65" group."Is that really your considered opinion? More like an off the cuff quip as frequently found in "comments" on right wing media articles.
You over estimate the influence that Macronspeak has on the French population.Macron said it was "quasi ineffective in over 65's" and results were not encouraging in the 60-65" group."
His comments have been extremely damaging to public confidence in the vaccine. He will have caused deaths with those words.
My ‘considered opinion’? It was a joke ffs. Jesus wept.Is that really your considered opinion? More like an off the cuff quip as frequently found in "comments" on right wing media articles.
Possibly. You over estimate the influence that Macronspeak has on the French population.
Two weeks ago this “expert" was quoted in many newspapers saying Covid jabs “more effective in young people” and could stop spread “almost completely".Thats kinda the point she was making.

So, what's happened in 14 days to change her mind?. Is she forgetting that Hancock said in a presser earlier this week that transmission cuts to 30% for anyone you live with who does not have a jab yet?.
The French by their nature are vax sceptics. One of the reasons that big pharma scaled down operations in France over the past 10 years. Even though Macron is unpopular his words would have been noted and enforced the French majority anti-vax view. You over estimate the influence that Macronspeak has on the French population.
Lad I know who is 2 years younger than me (must be clinically vulnerable, as he's not a key worker) had Pfizer jab. Got his first one in Feb and had his second yesterday - 6 weeks' spacing going off the dates on his card (he put it on Facebook).
Really does seem it's very flexible.
TBF the question really does need to start being asked whether it is "flexible" here - they were really clear it was going to be 12 weeks when they changed it with such fanfare, but there are lots of reports that many second Pfizer jabs are being given earlier than that.
I think its a good thing, but I really would like to know why this has changed (and especially if they've found it doesn't last the full twelve weeks - if that is the case, the world needs to know).

Spot on, I am 11 weeks for 2nd jabI’m pretty sure that if ‘the world needed to know’ anything, our medical people and scientists would be telling them....
