I really don’t think it is mate. Much more likely just to be overcaution. Political would mean Macron has told them to make a stupid decision that would deny its own citizens the chance to get vaccinated quicker in an election year. Doesn’t sound feasible to me.

Why not call the Germans then and ask why they're recommending it for the very demographic that the French are not recommending it for?

More than 300 people have died from coronavirus in North Somerset over the past year, but some areas have been hit much harder than others.

This popped up on my local paper earlier. Pretty sure it would have done on loads across the country.

It shows the actual CV deaths after a year of it, drilled down to very very local areas. Just pop yours in the white box, and there you have it.

Very interesting. Looked up Northumberland and was shocked* to find that the wealthiest areas have lowest death rates and the poorest areas have the highest death rates. There is very little BAME influence up here.

The only thing I was worried about was the needle itself, never even considered the side effects. Never felt a thing but I guarantee I will have the same misgivings about the needle in 8 weeks

You see, for me , if I am living in France my initial thoughts would be, 'why is one of our EU friends recommending it for under 65s then?'

I find it staggering. Surely it's political manoeuvring?

I completely agree.
But the move is surely going to cause even more distrust in the vaccine as effectively one country next door are administering it to the demographic that they are not recommending and vica versa.
