Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

I had mine a couple of weeks ago and there were problems at the centre too. If you were driving, which most were as it was out of town, they asked you to sit down for 10-15mins before leaving to make sure no adverse reactions etc. Social distancing, which had been great, went to pot when 1 of the 2 people signing people out left for a tea break without being replaced and folks quickly backed up right upto the actual vaccinators who were looking on in disbelief at what was happening. Shame as otherwise it was good.

Side affects for me were a bit of a temp and slight headache which started about 24hours after but were completely gone by morning.

Highly recommended and just get it done when it's your turn! I've queued for longer and had a worse experience queuing for a pie and a tea at Goodison on many occasion.
Again, another example of the stewarding: stewards should be aware of how many are in and out of the vaccination centres. If that changeover you outline occurs then stewards needed to block entry into the vaccination centre.

Does that make any sense?

If you're allwoing for me to be telling the truth here, then how can you not believe me?

Perhaps you had a terrible experience. I dont know.

But perhaps you have embellished it somewhat. 60 people in one room just doesnt add up, unless, like I said, there was a massive breakdown in the protocol.

Its not “ just 28 adverse reactions” - its 28 instances of unexpected blood clots after a jabs been given; the total reported adverse outcomes of all kinds post-jab in the UK for AZ is 54000 (which is still a tiny %, but it’s a lot more than 28). Pfizer has 24000 odd.

"Adverse outcomes?"

Nearly all those "Yellow Cards" will just be people reporting side effects.

They should be asking people to come back nearer their time. That situation causes the glut.

As said, this appears to be more than anything a stewarding issue.

Thats exactly what I was told to do. Perhaps its different at the large sites.

People are being allowed in before their statede time. That inevitably causes a problem. There's others posting here saying the same.

Probably about 60+ in my centre too. It was a big room though (former ITV studio in Nottm)

Jim Bowen's Bullseye filmed there. Evidently more than one funny man had previously shouted "thats the bullseye" when being jabbed as the needle went in.

I just find it amazing how fast things have been turned around here.

At one point the social media brigade were mocking us, calling us “Plauge Island”, the Kent variant got born down in the region I live in and Coronavirus distribution was huge down here, getting to a point people I knew were getting it. During the first lockdown i knew nobody with it, nor knew of such as a friend’s sister for example, then it got close to home. We all as a nation before Christmas became the crux of the EU, with many countries black listing us from visiting.

Now the amazing vaccine roll out is here, accompanied with the amazing testing efforts. Based on the last 7 days, we are all of a sudden in the bottom quarter in Europe and all of a sudden turning this around.

Oh they tell you not to turn up early. Tbf min was at the Royal and I just hung around outside until the 10 mins before time but then I was in jabbed and processed for second one extremely smoothly

Still doesnt add up. I just do not see the staff allowing 60 people in one room. If they did, it will get shut. Unless the room was massive.

The staff are doing their best getting seats and wiping down. They cant do anything other than their job. If some divvy on the door is just shovelling people in they cant stop it.

The admin inside the door should also be using their common sense and blocking.
