Don‘t drag the U.K. or AZ into a political argument stirred up by European countries. I’ve said all along that Germany will do anything to push Pfizer forward and do down AZ, it’s all about politics and money.....
My opinion is still the same as yesterday, that Macron, De Croo, and the like chose to politicise the situation and tarnish the Oxford/AZ vaccine and the UK's speedy rollout, and I do think that the majority of the blame lies with them but I am sure that media comments from our politicians haven't helped matters.

I do suspect that there will be a splash of big pharma influence amidst the face-saving, too.

What are you implying?

I'm saying that I would have genuinely been shocked if you'd have said anything different, Dave.

But, I'll take your word for it. Sounds like poor organisation on their part. Everybody I know personally who has got the vaccine has had it without incident or any issues with SD etc bar my dad, but that was his fault for not fully checking the online system.

I hope you feel fine, btw

All a bit of a mess

Ive spoken to a LOT and I mean a LOT of people who have had the vaccine and not 1 of them had your experience or anything even close to it.

I find the fact you wont say the location the most telling, its almost like you know others would have been there and would expose your web of lies.

Anyway, glad you are now protected from death Dave.

Hope you thank Boris for the remaining years.

I've only spoken to a few older relatives who have had their first jab but they've not had any real problems at all. My dad had his on Friday and said his arm was a little bit sore on Saturday but it only lasted a couple hours. No different from how he feels the day after his flu jab he said. I'm sure there are people who have side effect, it's inevitable with a vaccine, but I don't think it's widespread by any means.

The organisation seems top notch as well from what I'm hearing. They are using a hotel with a big wedding area in the area I grew up. It sounded like a very good operation.

Some woman in my missus work said she had side effects for 5 days, but, she takes time off work for breaking a nail, so nobody actually believes she was ill.

I'm essentially on the same page but can't help notice the timing of elections and the responses of Macron, Merkel and their like is primarily aimed at providing mitigation for the snails pace of the EU vaccination program, and the difficulties of it's procurement program.

They're getting all the flak on the slow pace and supply difficulties and needed a scapegoat fast. Attacking the English with the cutting corners when testing message or launching legal action against AZ plays extremely well across the channel, it's a vote winner.

Astra Zeneca is a British Swedish multi national, but launching unscientific and totally unfounded aspersions against any company even remotely connected with the Covid research carried out in Oxford is counted as fair game

Lets face the truth all that matters to 'Professor' Macron and the like is getting relelected, he will fly the tricolour and take the populist route regardless of consequences.

Hospital figures - 103 deaths were announced today, up 23 on yesterday and down 67 on last Tuesday. 101 deaths were in English hospitals, up 25 on yesterday and down 63 on last week. The 7 day rolling average falls to an even 134

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 110 deaths were announced today, up 46 on yesterday and down 121 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 127.57

For the 60 day cut off, 231 deaths were announced today, up 136 on yesterday and down 149 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average falls to an even 238

My gf and mum were pretty ill from it. My mum vomited too. It went very quickly though, I think it was only for 24-36 hours.
