In the UK up to one in every 1,000 people are affected by venous thrombosis each year. Many of those affected already have risk factors such as having had a serious illness or major surgery. Two-thirds have recently been in hospital.


Think about the demographic getting the jab. If anything there are fewer cases of clotting for those getting the jab.

Difference being this is a new drug being - essentially - trialled across populations.

Do we ignore reports linking possible side effects and brush it under the carpet?

It's a new drug, otherwise it wouldn't have had to go to regulatory bodies to get licenses.

Every variant of any vaccine has to get approval. The model of the virus was one they were used to dealing with; its just the fine tuning they had to nail.

You'd have to be an absolute miser to read things like this and not grin from ear-to-ear. It's an absolute miracle what is happening right now - like one of the nurses who made the first round of injections said; "We're injecting hope".
