Do you read anything I post?

You are correct. The roadmap wont be deviated from, other than to extend it. The CRG clowns are pressing for an earlier reopen.

Witty was explaining to the MPs on the panel what would happen if we followed the CRG route.
That's NOT what I'm saying. He's answering questions on this because he KNOWS that this roadmap will have a short cut.

Cheers.

I absolutely hate the vax nationalism that has surfaced in the last few months, but that said, knowing now what we do about how brilliant the UK is in all things bio/vax stuff, I am very comfortable following their advice.
Just a shame it took achieving one of the worst death rates in world to get some sort of coherent response from our government in procuring vaccines. The success with vaccines should be the minimum we expect.
Instead tens of thousands of people have lost their lives who really should be still alive, because inaction dithering and woefully underfunded NHS and Social health care!
The backlog in elective surgery is now impacting on mental health, we literally getting people referred to us with depression because ongoing pain, because they are waiting for hip replacement and even heamoroids etc.

Wouldnt disagree.

It will all come out in the wash, but as we are, there at least is a decent scintilla of hope.

Important to stress that Whitty was answering questions from some Tory backbenchers who have been demanding an earlier release of restrictions than what is planned

not having a dig at you here Bruce, but I’ve already seen the headlines and the tweets, people getting the context wrong

they know there’s going to be a spike but as it stands are confident that the current plan is the right one - there’s just no chance that dates can be shifted earlier

Some of the language being used by Boris, Whitty and Valance makes me think that this definitely won't be the final lockdown.

There is absolutely no chance that the 4th stage will happen in June. An excuse will be made and the lockdown will extend.
He was speaking to MPs who have been demanding stuff moves along quicker.

the roadmap has, all along, been pretty clear in that those are the ‘earliest’ dates. Everything has to fall into place for those dates to be met. Now the schools are back, we’ll see a spike in cases, it’s how that spike is managed, and then how next spike is managed, and so on and so on

You have to take that first step at some point

No. He is explaining what will happen if we have a short cut. CRG style.

Which we wont have.

You cant state that with any degree of authority when there are Tory backbenchers working around the clock to bring forward those dates.

I can say it with a lot more certainty than you knowing who asked about a childs skin colour.

This thing has spooked Johnson. It wasnt what he thought being PM would be. Any deviation from the science that leads to more carnage, and he is toast. He aint gonna listen to some loons.

That is a very brave call.
