My missus workmates 16 yr old daughter has had the same.

She`s as white as they come, but has a long history of complex of anxiety related problems, so probably falls under the new remit of vaccinating people with mental health problems and learning difficulties. ( stats are showing that they`re many more times likely to get the virus )

Sounds to me like they`re scouring the records for anyone who could be classed as even slightly at risk - your gf with TB as an example.

Sounds about right. Great news for us anyhow, she worries about it quite a lot with her having TB in the past.

It`s great news all round mate, as it sounds like they`re really going to town on vaccinating anyone who could be remotely classed as vulnerable.

The roll out of this vaccine ( even the gnats piss ), has been nothing short of amazing and I truly hope that at the end of all this, that there`s a load of proper awards dished out to the right people.

Looks like the Pfizer jab is in short supply. How long can you defer booking an appointment for your jab. Is there a set time period from when you get your text to book in? I might hang on for the Moderna vaccine.

Hang on for the Moderna one? I wont if the Pfizer ne is available. Can you find out in advance before booking?

No. They tell you which one they have for that day/session. But not so you can say "No thanks", but what after care you need to do. AZ you leave straight after, but they suggest you dont drive for 10 minutes or so, the Pfizer one you have to stay for 15 minutes observation.

You waiting on a particular type is a bit weird if I am honest. You have no idea if the one you seem to hold a candle for will ever be at your GP surgery anyrate.

Imagine being lucky enough to be offered a vaccine and wanting to delay so you can get a certain type.

Unreal.
I got the Pfizer jab and the second will be the same, nurse said that from end of next week most will be getting the AZ one in the coming weeks.
personally don't care what they offered me would have taken any even a mix of the two.
Got told there was a chance of side effects as i only just scraped in to be able to accept the jab as I had Covid-19 a month a go, havnt had any at all to be honest.
