Rother had 0 cases and 0 deaths yesterday; this is a council authority right next door to Hastings where I live. It’s home to John Logie Baird who invented television while he lived in Bexhill.

Hastings has had a few up and down days lately and I feared the Brazil variant that was tracked today was here, so I hope we follow Rother’s tracks soon.

Countries could 'lurch into third and fourth surges' if curbs are hastily eased, WHO expert warns

The arrival of Covid vaccines should not tempt countries to relax efforts to fight the pandemic, top World Health Organizationofficials said on Friday, citing particular concern about the situation in Brazil. “We think we’re through this. We’re not,” Mike Ryan, WHO’s top emergency expert, told an online briefing, according to Reuters. “Countries are going to lurch into third and fourth surges if we’re not careful.”

992,812 tests.... still cannot get my head round that and that even found 5,947 cases, which is one of the lowest Fridays in absolutely ages.

.6% positivity rate, that is ridiculously good, if those numbers are correct, well done all!! (Unless my Maths are wrong).

TBH I often work out and look at the positivity rate rather then the headline figures to see how things are going overall in a community.

Nobody thinks we're through this

I dont like the situation in Europe.

It's getting better, day by day.

And schools going back, when you and plenty of others have been decrying the amount of kids in school anyway (but rates have still fallen dramatically), with the amount of testing that is set to be done, shouldn't - hopefully - cause a spike which isn't managageble.

That's all the next 3 weeks is. And it has to be done at some point. There's no guarantee that waiting another 6 months will be a success, because the issue of variants will still be there.

I think ypoulrer being way too simplistic in what you believe is possible - even now we're seeing some increase in the community of infection.

Nothing should be unlocked until the country is fully vaccinated.
