Anyone else struggling to keep up ?

Lateral trest kits have always been bad.

The AZ vaccine was / is thought of as gnats piss (also by the US and European nations) until proven by evidence that it works for everyone.

It's not that difficult to keep up with in all honesty.

In all the 'joy' over tracing the person who tested positive for the Manaus variant... why aren't questions being asked as to how on earth someone was allowed to travel back from Brazil to here in the first place?

That said, I was more puzzled why they just didnt look at the passenger list, instead of "narrowing it down" to initially 10000 households near Croyden.

Havnt a clue what the rules are me. Didnt the Scottish ones come into Heathrow, then connected to Scotland? What are the rules up there?

The Scots require all international travellers to quarantine; the problem for them occurred when passengers who arrived form 'red list' countries were allowed into England and then allowed to take connecting flights to Scottish airports.

I don’t know the full story on this but when I travelled recently I was required to show a negative Covid test from the previous 72 hours and proof that my journey was essential. This had to be presented on departure and arrival. Is this not happening the other way around?

I think ypoulrer being way too simplistic in what you believe is possible - even now we're seeing some increase in the community of infection.

Nothing should be unlocked until the country is fully vaccinated.

You do realise, not one country in the world had locked themselves down until their population has been vaccinated ?

From what I understand the fact that the test had no name and contact details attached, they made the assumption that it could not have come through any official testing channels because the officials would have spotted it. So that left the home testing arena which is what i think they focused on initially. I haven't followed the search so not sure how they located him in the end.

It was explained in the last briefing. Like you say, they focused on the home testing, which meant using data from DPS, (delivery company for the tests), then matching that to some virus sequencing, (no, me neither), so were able to narrow it down from 10000, to 379, then one street. In a week.

Like you know when you sign for a parcel on those scanners? Well, the second the delivery lad pushes a button saying "delivered" on his scanner, the exact position he was standing at is recorded. Its called the Geo Code or sommet.

A friend just arrived in London, she's staying indoors for 10 days, but they gave her a DIY pcr test lol should then post it via Royal Mail

She already showed negative PCR test upon arrival. they want one more, but how exactly a DIY test will work/ be accurate.

Now there’s an advert for Starbucks on taxi doors saying “New normal, your usual?”.

Just what is it with this phrase and always being used for advertising to flog products?. There’s nothing “normal” at all about this and the phrase is really peeving me off now.
