Vaccinations slowing a bit - Hope it's just a blip

The numbers always fluctuate - it's the average that matters.

Also, we're now approaching the time where we'll be starting to see more people receive their second doses, too.

We could well be adding J&J and Novavax within the next 2 months, too, and aren't we set to receive loads of Moderna doses next month?

Just watching an interview with a doctor on Germany saying that the AZ is very effective in the older people.
Lots of experts coming out in the media saying it's fine and a good vaccine. I think the initial lack of confidence was mainly down to the likes of Macron and that Handelsblatt newspaper. Also, in Germany it's only allowed for under-65s and they've only just started offering appointments to the 70-80 age group now. Only just got through the over 80s.

All the early studies of real world application of the AZ vaccine is starting to make the EU look incredibly silly.

Extremely effective vaccine with pretty similar results to Pfizer.
The EU gave it the exact same approval that the UK did.

Sommet good is happening.

2 weeks ago, Portishead was light blue, and North Somerset as a whole was light green.

Now, Portishead is supressed, (2 positive tests in a week), and North Somerset is still light green, but only had 11 positive tests in a week. So 9 taking the filthy Portishead out.

Been vaxing rapidly in Portishead since the get go, and has a large elderly population. (Where doesnt?).

I check it every now and then, more to reassure Nikki than anything, cos soon she is going to have to actually go outdoors. I just told her, and she beamed, and said "So when it gets a bit warmer, can we go for a short walk at the marina safely now?"

Baby steps.

There are probably 30000 nurses off sick with a jab related RSI!

100 day...

Was number 78 on Saturday at 18.10. The young girl was on a 12 hour shift until 8.30pm, she was perplexed at my distraction of a football match on the phone, borrowed off the lad, as side note second dose was much worse than the first... And she gave me evils when I thanked her by calling her 'Boris' for all his hard work, some people are just born ungrateful. All in all 21 minutes missed of match on the TV including half-time, [Poor language removed] COVID.
