Why are primary school children the priority compared to secondary?

Can they not do colouring in at home?

I would have thought secondary school kids have a greater capacity to fulfill homeschooling needs. Asking a 5 year to attend a zoom call could be trickier

My youngest lads school > zero kids tested positive since Sept.

My eldest lads school > It ripped through the school from Sept onwards.

Ok sorry about that will find scummy tory thread in future reference if neccessary , but please one point is that you cannot separate what the tory filth have done in relation to Covid and then absolve them and their supporters who defend them on this thread

You cant just easer to manage oppositions than Tory windbags...

Anyway think what is far more worrying is that 75% of all vaccines have been administered in just 10 countries. We really need to do something about this sooner rather than later, this is in realms of creating a scorched earth policy

Sorry - I was being overly blase about it

There are two sides to every coin though - Try getting a 15 year old to do work when they're left to their own devices and the school have done virtually nothing to facilitate distance learning

Oh aye I don't envy doing that at all. It's all a bit rubbish really. Can't wait for them to go back to school....once it's safe to do so

Primary school children need a parent at home with them, secondary school kids do not.....

I'm sure that's part of the thinking. But younger children are also less likely to contract the virus and pass it on. So it's safer. Also it's much more difficult to replace the schooling with home learning than it is the older students

I’m no expert mate, but it appears that the little ones generally just don’t get it.

The only classes that got sent home, where classes that a member of staff who had it, had been in.

Not one kid got it.

TuI travel agent closed down in our high street early on, (I think it was part of a plan anyrate).

The replacement business was revealed today.


A new Funeral Directors.

It seemed to reflect these weird times.

Both my primary school aged kids have been sent home from school twice because one of their classmates has tested positive. On all 4 occasions the child that was positive was an Asian child which I guess is in line with the stats that minority races are more affected by the virus. I don't think any of the kids ever had any serious symptoms though.

There`s always the daily Morning Star to look forward too. Then after that, a brisk cycle ride around the neighbourhood, to look for people engaged in unnecessary maintenance work and ladies illegally sat down on park benches drinking coffee.

No, but Asian kids do. Asian kids who seemingly are back to normal with a fraction of the havoc or deaths than in the West, but are more affected by it if they were born in the UK.

Just seems odd to me. Perhaps my "stronger immune" theory isnt as daft as it sounds.
