Doesn't really conclusively answer any questions nor will it change any minds about the dosing schedules.

Is the rate for 80+ higher or lower than the rest? Remember we know the Pfizer vaccine provides at least three weeks of protection, possibly at a stretch up to six weeks. What we do not know is what happens after that.

Look at the heat map for 60 to 90 plus. It's much lighter indicating less and less infections compared to rest.

Deaths falling from approx 60 percent of daily total to nearly 50 percent.

That cant be because of 337k double dose vaccinations..

I am not sure they did - IIRC if you had a second dose appointment booked prior to December 28th, you got the vaccine as planned on that date (given the difficulty of rearranging that many appointments).

And that was still 6 weeks ago...

So if it dropped off a cliff after 3 weeks - which it doesn't - then we'd have known.

If it dropped off a cliff after 6/7 weeks, we'd start to see it now...

No, but it’s a bit of a stretch to pretend this is an equal debate - one sides got science and current knowledge on it, and the other doesn’t (at least as of yet).

It might work, and I hope it does, but guessing with so many people’s lives potentially at risk is something that should never pass unquestioned or, if it does fail, unpunished.

Well, to start with, he claimed he did everything he could in relation to the pandemic, which is a patent falsehood.

I think the rationale of some protection for the many rather than more protection for the few, particularly in winter was the right choice.

Otherwise we would still be on the over 80s.

I think you're just looking for an argument. I've explained why I posted it twice now. You made a point about who Israel has been vaccinating which I provided evidence of and now you've gone back to talking about the 12 week gap which I never even mentioned. Can't be bothered carrying on with this. You can make up whatever you want about why I posted it or what it implied, fill your boots.

No, what happened is that there was a pre-existing debate between me and someone else about the potential for problems with the 12 week gap, then you posted your figures about Israel that didn't relate to that issue.

Again, you are looking at AZ and Pfizer stats there, and in most cases when we know it will work.

As an aside though, the 80-89 and 90+ cohort in the UK is only around 2 million people, so yes having nearly 400000 of them vaccinated with the proper dose schedule would probably have a visible effect on your graph.
