No, I didn't.
I said I have had debates with
@tsubaki over the best way for it to be implemented. Which I have had. I agree with their point that it needs to come in as a way of protecting us
for the future, but we also need it in place. I just don't know what the best way is for to be done, and I don't think the scheme they have suggested would work practically as it does in theory.
You asked me the other day how I'd put a 20k event on at Goodison. Well, the answer is testing - for people to have to do something, they need to get that negative test. You have that while bringing things back gradually and allowing limited-capacity events.
Everyone who goes has to have tested negative. That's testing, and if they test positive, they have to isolate - and that's where the support needs to be in place. You then ensure there is a system which allows you to get another test within days (can be delivered to your home - they're already doing that). Perhaps you have to do a 5-day isolation period then you can test yourself and if you're negative, you're ok, if you're positive, you have to do another 5 days or whatever.
There's workable solutions, because the vaccines are proven to work against serious illness, so it's just going to become another illness which we deal with just fine. The answer isn't to keep everything shut for another 2 years.
