How come I can buy 30 cans of Stella in 3 x multipacks but I can only buy 3 bottles of drinkable beer?

While rationing is responsible, someone needs to apply some common sense here.

Looking like you'll only get statutory sick pay if you get COVID at my work place

Bunch of people with it are going to come in now because they won't be able to live on just statutory

This is why it'll spread, because companies aren't going to make it financially viable for people to take the time off that they need to do in order to not bring it into the work place

Our whole attitude to this thing is wrong and it's going to bite us

Been saying this for weeks to anyone judging people still going to work with symptoms.

Until the government work alongside small and big business this will continue to spread.

Look I know why people are hostile to it , not to motivate racism around the world. Which is fair enough.

But all this bashing of trump for calling it the Chinese virus or Wuhan virus is ridiculous on the face of it. The virus started in China ,has the biggest infection rate in China but God for it someone references it . Even being accused of trying to attack China by calling it that. You

Given everyone is calling it the Corona virus and not covid-19 is just lazy really , showing how little people know about viruses.

Anything fuels racism if you have a party to blame. Terrorists is aimed at Muslims , this virus is subconsciously aimed at chinese. It would help racism even just a little bit if people stopped getting sensitive about where exactly the virus came from like it's trying to insult a nation.

After all, anyone who calls it the coronavirus is guilty of using a buzzword rather than a name.

I'd prefer to call it the CCP Virus.

That really would drive the Chinese Government utterly bonkers.

There will obviously be gaps in any system of rationing but I don’t think bottles of beer are really the issue.. The supermarkets are having to do this because the common sense you mentioned seems to be absent from many of the general public.

I am not in retal but possibly tills have been programmed not to process more than 3 or 4 of any similar item. Thus the individual bottle counts as a single item as does a 24 pack !

However, more importantly one bottle of anti-bacterial soap, a pack of tissues, toilet rolls, or ,wipes , a loaf of bread etc all count as single item and can be limited at the till.

This was written 10 days ago, the death rate in Germany is 0.25% compared to 4% in the rest of the World (was like that 10 days ago and still like that today), 2 possible scenarios, one very scary and the other very encouraging:

The Scary scenario: Since according to the article above Germany has such an advanced HCS they are giving proper care for each patient and that's why the death rate is so low, but once their HCS becomes overwhelmed like Italy and the rest of the World, the number will rise, what's more scary is that based on this scenario, the % of death rate will increase with the increase of infections, so the idea of if 80% of the population will get infected and only 1-2% will die is very wrong, it will be much higher when there is no one out there to help the the infected people.

The encouraging scenario: Again according to the article above, Germans are way ahead of the rest of the World wen it comes to "testing", yesterday they reported 2000 new cases with 2 deaths, Spain also reported 2000 new cases but with 90 deaths, most probably (and that's what i hops is the case) the number of infected people in Spain is much much much higher, the higher the better since it means they had 90 deaths but 200,000 new cases, not 2000 new cases.

We will have an answer in the coming weeks, the first scenario is very worrying, the 2nd scenario is currently what i wish is true (that millions of people around the World are already infected and have no idea)

He's not guilty of using buzzwords, he is guilty of provoking racism among his moronic base, he is doing so not to create awareness but to shift blame from his own inadequate response. He is doing so at a time when international cooperation is vital. He is a bigger virus than covid 19
