I don't understand the not favourable bit tbh, it stands to reason if you actively follow a policy of not performing the second vaccination until three months later, you will be behind in tables showing second dose vaccinations. If you don't do something how can you be high on a table that shows incidence of that thing being done?

One thing follows from the other, but it is a conscious strategy, if you choose not to jump over a wall for half an hour while other boys repeatedly spend their half hour doing so,. Charts of who jumped over the wall the most would have you bottom, that's not unfavourable but expected, you chose not to do so.

The one dose is a strategy which may or may not be the best alternative to tackle the disease by giving far more of the vulnerable some immunity rather than a far smaller percentage a greater immunity, but it is a conscious strategy.

This chart is really not showing anything as about whether or not it's the correct strategy, just the equivalent of the boy who chose not to jump over the wall didn't actually do so.

It's still remarkable in one respect, that despite pursuing such a conscious policy of a three month gap, in effect no second vaccinations after very early January, we've still vaccinated more than Germany who haven't followed such a policy.
Top of the graph good, bottom of the graph bad. Taken as a single piece of info the graph isn't favourable as it only counts those vaccinated twice. That doesn't tell the full story as the UK is following a very deliberate policy (rightly or wrongly) but it would be pedantry to suggest the graph in isolation doesn't show the UK in a unfavourable light, it is also foolish to call it meaningless as that would suggest only the UK policy is valid.

Going round in circles I explained the qualification.

Meaningless for a country following such a strategy isn't equal to meaningless per se.

To take it to the most ridiculous I could produce graphs showing the 'average' British household buys far fewer goods using the Euro currency than other European states. We would be bottom of that graph too, even though we chose to keep sterling. The graph would neither be favourable or unfavourable except in the simplistic sense you want to be top of everything even things you don't choose to do.

Liverpool area now with 32 cases of the South African variant.
Don't worry just heard we have 2 weeks to partial border controls are put in place, 3 weeks after Patel announced the plan.

Probably never been an easier time " to control borders" the explicit will of people, has been screamed at us since 2016.

Here we are with Government who very clearly promised borders control got itself elected on this premise, now in a Pandemic unwilling or dithering to implement border control...

Amazing!

Like I said pedantry

No border controls + the lockdown that isn't a lockdown = a runaway train of infection in the country that's far and away the worst affected in Europe.

Can anyone who voted for this lot do us all a favour and punch thesmelves in their stupid 'kin faces. Hard.

They would miss...

It's a year on now from those Wirral vaccination centres, and we debating " border control"... Don't worry sheeple just think twice about going out and enter solitary confinement depending postcode, while our wealthy chums fly in and out of the country... In it together!?
