Erm... no.

The timing might be off, but what he's said there on both counts is essentially correct: the UK government abandoned its strategy (the strategy adopted worldwide) of spacing out jabs by 3 weeks to one where the 2nd is administered way down the line, despite warnings from its manufacturers; and the data on efficacy for over-65s is simply not there with the AZ jab.

This government are gambling with our lives. And it takes a foreign politician to pipe up about it, to the utter shame of the British Labour Party.

they can stop the AZ vaccines pete - some destined for the UK are (or at least were being) manufactured in the EU; thats what got them so riled

The U.K. is not getting AZ vacs from Europe I believe. NI has already given more jabs than the ROI and the U.K. will make sure they continue to receive the vaccines. The EU really shouldn’t have brought them into this...pure stupidity....

EU fuming that vaccines manufactured in the UK won’t be going to them. Let them fume. And now they are playing games with Northern Ireland. It’s fairly obvious how this relationship is going to go, and whilst I was an ardent remainer, we need to be firm and make our stance clear, we are not to be taken for fools.

we were, at least according to many reports

the NI jabs have (IIRC) all come from the mainland UK, not the ROI

Why is the leader of a country failing with its vaccination programme concerned about how a country that has done 12% of its population decides its strategy. He is embarrassed by what he has not done and hopes a bit of Brit bashing will get him off the hook...it won’t.....
