But here's the rub for you: you will have to change your life long term. Everyone will, and there will be no exception. The old normal is for the birds - gone. Ilm not talking about people being forced to wear Mao jackets and carry a red book. But there will be a level of intervention into all out lives that wasn't there before and it'll remain in place.

You could sound a little less happy about it. But of course it’s not about the virus anymore is it? You honestly read like your positively salivating at the idea of massive state intervention and enforcement of restrictions on people’s lives for a very long time. Your constant demonisation of Joe public for ages now backs this up.

You still can’t answer the question of what this intervention will be “long term” as you put it and nor will you say what an acceptable level of deaths will be once mass vaccination has a taken place. So I ask again, can you articulate your acceptable level of deaths? If it’s 0, why not just say it?

You say you don’t expect anything from me and yet you asked me how many people I would be willing to sacrifice? So by your logic if I don’t follow the rules you deem fit I am personally responsible for “sacrificing” lives as you put it.

I would bet you a tenner the old normal will be back sooner than you think or want, and the majority will be loving it.

Watched the big bash cricket this morning on TV. It's taking place in Australia. Full stadium of fans, not a face mask in sight. Everything just looked completely normal. Drinking beer, bbq food etc. Can't just be the weather...surely?

Is there a breakdown or data available regarding which vaccines have been used. I have my first on Sunday, about which I am pleased. Just hope that there will not be a long delay before the booster dose. From the table above the frequency of this needs to be improved in comparison to the first dose. Here's hoping.

You'd hope not, but I think that relies on him not standing again. He is after all not someone with a record of achievement these past five (edit: sorry, four) years, plus of course he is (and has always been) very, very strange. They've got the virus suppressed and as soon as there's any cases, entire regions (thousands of square miles) go into full lockdown.

It's their winter coming up. There will be spikes, but they'll be entirely manageable through the vaccine and some restriction measures.

Its because we followed strict rules, wore masks, locked down when we had to, had government support for businesses and individuals during the couple of months we shut everything down. Any cases and we shut that [Poor language removed] down. No excuses. We don’t pander to the dumbest parts of our populations, we follow the science.

We saved lives by closing country, and now we are completely back to normal bar all you infected trying to get in. I think theres been 909 deaths in a population of 25 million.

If you just think about that for a second, its mind boggling to us that you only now, a year later have decided to restrict and quarantine travellers from overseas. 100,000 deaths in the UK really could have been avoided, and Im glad our people and leaders took it seriously from the get-go.
