I can only tell you what I know mate, out of everybody I know, family, friends, only 3 people are currently working from home, the other 20 or so people are going to work, every day and less than half work in industries I personally consider "essential".

Its a complete farce and nothing like the proper lockdown we had in March last year.

It wouldn’t completely, you might see some businesses who are already struggling financially go under but to say an entire country would bust is being highly dramatic

Over 1800 deaths its scary, remember when we first locked down and the figures went to 400 a day everyone started panicking. Look at them now and if deaths drop to 400 a day job done open up I can see people saying. Not just numbers they're people. It's a nightmare if he opens back up early he wants shooting .

Are they somehow infecting vulnerable people after they've been in work? Just cannot get my head around this

Thats my thing as well.

I would love to know where folk are catching it. Like there are always tits who do the wrong thing, but in the main, most follow the rules. And it cant be down to Christmas, surely?

BS testing. Utterly useless according to many medical scientists.

erm, it was being hailed as more reliable than the PCR's, which magnify to ridiculous amounts and can find remnants of viruses from months previous. There's no perfect solution for the testing but Merseyside stayed pretty flat for 3-4 weeks

Was always going to peak about now. These are infections from 3, maybe 4, weeks ago.

Jan 8th was the last huge spike in cases confirmed. 12 days ago. On avg, isn't it 10-14 days average from infection through to hospitalisation/death?

What is a worry, in the summer it was said they had better treatments to save people who got really I'll , icu and all that so if they have got better treatments than in last April/may , how more deaths would they're have been without these treatments, its frightening.

I know it sounds crass, but you just have to realise that this is the case. We are starting to see the benefit of lockdown in that cases are dropping. But deaths won't follow for a while.

They shouldn’t unless it’s low enough to justify it and 75% of the country have had at least one jab. The problem is is that London is the biggest business hub in the country, that also happens to be the city the government is based. De Pfeffel will not hesitate to go and open everything up again against advice then be pleading on TV for us to protect the NHS again, unless someone in one of the other parties shows a set by calling for an election and calling De Pfeffel out for being unfit for purpose
