Getting ready for my retirement I had a large insulated garage built and bought a 1989 Merc 300SE and 1978 Rover SD1 V8 this year.
Both from same classic car dealer in Dublin. 58k on Merc and just over 41k on SD1.
Loads of paperwork and provenance. SD1 is particularly interesting in terms of its history.
Managed one organised small club run on 8th March but sadly that may be it for the year as CV sweeps everything away

Heard loads of rumours. Nothing with any verifiable sources though.
Just seems like outright panic at this point
So, those of us who decided not to panic buy, and don't have like a months worth of bog rolls and pasta stock piled, how are you supposed to survive after your food runs out if there's an enforced lockdown?
It's just going to push normally sensible people to join in on the stockpiling.
Remember folks, use the black friday mantra; 'Trample the living and hurdle the dead'
and thats a fair point but how many deployable soldiers do we have for across the Uk ? How would it work do you deploy them with the police or independently , are they armed or not ? It’s a logistical nightmare and the history of the deployment of troops in this manner does not make pleasant reading.
As of yet we haven’t even shut the pubs but within 48 hrs we’ll have soldiers on the streets ? Again not to say it wont happen at some stage but It’s seems like 0-60 in double quick time to be honest. None of us have a clue do we , A lockdown seems a possibility but the deployment of the military by the weekend seems excessive

Bollocks. These rumours have been doing the rounds for the past week and each one has a different day / piece of info accompanying them. It's again leading to more panic though and people continuing to stockpile needlessly.
