We have my 82 yr old mam on lockdown ,or cocooning as its now being called
She is not impressed ,BUT HAS NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER

My brother took her house keys off her yesterday

I hope to god she doesn't have a fire.

There are a lot of people, especially those in the 'vulnerable' age group, who want to carry on as best they can. After all, they've been through much worse than I ever have and lived to tell the tale.
It's a harsh thing to confine someone, but I hope people are being pragmatic about how (and how much) it can be achieved.

My lads school is shutting as from tomorrow ( in Allerton )

No kids have got it. there`s that many teachers off for one reason or another, they just haven`t got enough teachers in to run the school anymore

To be fair, they've only got one more week in anyway before half-term so it's just a sensible decision if all schools shut on Friday for at least the 3 weeks.

Just started working for a new company teaching last Monday and if all schools close, can see this shutting down. My previous employers have already sent letters out saying they will be looking at making the tutors redundant if schools shut down this week. Crazy times ahead for all people in different employment.

But China has been wonderful through it all, according to one particular winnet on here.
You realize your constant China bashing isn’t going to change how the Chinese government govern, all it does is fuel xenophobia towards Asians, oh, and it makes you feel good to rant.
