Nothing wrong with the exercise bit, going into a shop to get takeaway coffee no matter how the queues are handled (and the fact they are open in the first place) winds me up. She was in another shop the other day with the kids and that wound me up too.
I don't really see the need for the costas etc to be open but with this 'service' economy apparently stuff like that has to be kept open.

There is a right to protest however this should be disregarded to protect public health and to save lives.

These people are social terrorists and I would hit them with water cannons, rubber bullets and put them in a containment camp for the rest of the pandemic.

They are just misguided and over indulged kids. We’d have to put half of GOT into the same containment camp...mind you that’s not a bad idea.....

Here I beg to differ.
That was all changed in 1984 when Thatcher mobilised and politicised the police during the bitter miner's strike. They were used to attack strikers and pickets.
Again in 89/90 at the time of the poll tax riots.
They became "Maggies Militia" then and police / public relations haven't been the same since.

... theres a lot true there, but surely cracking down on those protests this summer - especially given the active encouragement of the government and the media - would have been the same thing as what you describe?

Just caught the NHS Covid ad running on UK TV,appears to be suggesting that Covid is aerosol spread rather than the droplet spread they first announced it as. ??

Yes,but if my memory isn't playing tricks they were stating with some certainty that back in Spring it wasn't aerosol spread. Being totally honest I don't think they've ever known 100%.

The newer radio ads suggest you let in fresh air "to blow covid particles away".

Hands Face Space and Fresh Air in.

I am chancing my arm by just keeping to my routine, absolute minimal time in a shop, mask etc etc, rather than having a window open.

That one is a bit odd as opening a window is more likely to push the air further in the room than out. As you say minimal time in any enclosed space is the sensible option.

My mantra for months has been If I Dont Get It, Nikki Wont Get it.

The staff in Sainsburys, well enough of them, know our situation and almost fast forward me when I am in there. (Most days). Chemist as well.

And thats been my exposure to mankind for 10 months. Arsed having covid being blown in ffs!

Well that's one of the reasons they didn't get stuck in to them. There was an air of respectability and government semi approval about those demos.
