Get it rolled out everywhere...

Great News.

Hope this isn't just a "tell them, and they will listen", kind of thing. Hope there won't be delays after an announcement of a full lock down later on today.

Get everyone Over-60, Vulnerable people and Care workers in asap, and we should get over the worst of it, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Will be an element of just tell them and they will listen, can deal with odious government later at this moment in time. We all need this over now.

I think if anything, I've found that there are a lot more Gullible and easily led people in 2020. So i'm hoping we're at least correct in seeing an overwhelming positivity.

This is one huge step towards normality. 67m people like within UK, 100m Vaccines, is plenty to help those who need it most, and hopefully get us back to sanity.

Beginning of the end I hope, only worry is the anti vaccine muppets start scaremongering they do my head in.

Let them.

Unfortunately, we are awash with Facebook Warriors, who think the Vaccine will give people access to our bodies and minds. Like with all vaccinations, there will be an element of risk, with this we may not know effects until a lot longer down the line, but for People's wellbeing... particularly from a mental perspective, how anyone could treat this news as anything other than an a huge positive, is beyond me.

If someone doesn't want the Vaccine, then someone more grateful and fortunate will be getting one.

I tested positive for it today. I'm not quite sure where or how I've caught the virus. I've been working from home since March and have kept contacts to within the household bubble only and tried to be as sensible as possible with it all really. I'd been going for a weekly lateral flow test, so it was picked up via that, I wasn't expecting to test positive. I then had to do a 4 mile round trip on foot for a second test at Walton Hall park which also confirmed it. I had a phlemy cough early last week, so doubted it was corona - but here we are. Symptoms now have developed into loss of taste and smell.

get well soon

When you take out children, 50m to get the Oxford (two doses remember) is more than enough; add the Pfizer and we should have complete coverage.

Looks like they are going to hit as many people as possible with a first jab.

Second jab will be 2 to 3 months later.

This should ring alarm bells really - IIRC the vaccine was tested on the basis of two doses being given twenty days apart. The best outcomes (though they were controversial) were for lower first doses followed by the main dose second too.

Giving more people a first dose whilst delaying the second in order to give more first doses can only be being done for non medical reasons (ie to “get back to normal”). This is something the government shouldn’t be messing around with; do it properly please.
