Exactly so can't just say it's poor guidance. Reckon if this was an Orwellian state we'd have had this under wraps months ago.
I said poor leadership.

Nobody partying with the Army on the streets shooting people.

Thats how I would have gone.

But instead the floppy-haired tit gave us Christmas.

For me that's down to poor leadership.

Folk from Manchester shopping/drinking in Liverpool. - National lockdown ends that.
Londoners legging it to their second home in Cornwall. - Government advisor gave them an excuse to.
Shopping malls and high streets packed all over the shop. - Shut them down.

All roads lead back to the Tories.

I dont need a Government to tell me not to run in front of a bus.

I said a few days ago, my eldest went to The Mall near Bristol, took one look at the crowds, and went home. He is 24.

I am not talking about the elderly and vulnerable here, I am talking about folk taking some ownership after 8 months of this.

And yet thousands of people run in front of buses every year.

The pubs and shops are open.

So why wouldn't people use them?

Strong leadership doesn't give people the option, strong leadership removes all doubt.

Use them sensibly. I do. You do.

Was it in Leicester the other day where police had to raid a party with 60 people there? Page after page on here today has had stuff about folk being idiots.

I honestly despair at the idiocy.

Yeah but you are looking at things with your sensible hat on mate.

Large swathes of this country don't own such a hat and they need telling not to run in front of buses.

I obviously have far too much faith in the ability of folk to not be stupid.

In my little world, I have just kept Nikki safe. My elderly parents have reasonably cheerfully accepted the varied rules and that, and discovered zoom with their mates.

Mt eldest wont go into a busy shopping centre, and my younger autistic lad has long accepted that Christmas will be different, he wont sing in his Panto, nor be able to go to work one day a week at a city farm.

I struggle to get why so many dont seem to get it. (sic). And I aint nothing special, you have met me ffs.

The City Region staying in Tier 2 for now is down to the mass testing centres more than anything and the people of the region being sensible for the most part, what now needs to happen is Merseyside Police and Merseytravel/Rail putting out statements restricting travel in and out of the region for the forseeable otherwise we'll end up with the rest of them by next week

As for today's figures well they make for some truly sad reading

Hospital figures - 526 deaths were announced today, up 90 on yesterday and up 97 on last Wednesday. 416 deaths were in English hospitals, up 11 on yesterday and up 47 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to an even 404

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 744 deaths were announced today, up 53 on yesterday and up 132 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 504.43

For the 60 day cut off, 852 deaths were announced today, up 67 on yesterday and up 130 on last Wednesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 573.86

I'm presuming they are still going to announce figures over the weekend (if a bit skewed because of it being Christmas and a bank holiday) so I will try and keep things updated if I can
