Agreed but its not just about christmas....what about the rest of the year...?Doesn't matter about tiers, just think is it worth risking illnesses on loved ones shouldn't be muppets in the government telling us what to do common bloody sense is needed 400 to 500 death's a day and some don't batter a eyelid
Ffs it's not about moaning about what tier your in but about looking after your family and friends isn't that what Christmas is about really.
If these clowns arent in The Hague within 2 years something ain't right.Honestly at this point now I’m so sick of the crock of rubbish that Boris and his cronies serve up that I can’t be bothered with the stress and worrying that comes with waiting for the inevitable restrictions. Lockdown 3 is more than likely on its way and having it hanging over our heads is almost worse than the lockdown itself.
How can you install a new tier in order to counter the discovery of a new, more virulent strain of the virus and only “strongly advise” against travel out of this area? Look at the scenes at the train stations now as people flee. Does anyone think the ticket companies/train services are going to turn them away? What do Whitty and Vallance actually do ffs? Like I’m no infectious disease expert, but I’ve played resident evil and watched a few Romero films and I’m thinking shouldn’t you be trying to CONTAIN it a bit? Or do you want it to spread more? It’s mad.
Peoples plans ruined. Money of course has been spent already to keep the economy ticking over. Which is what the Tories want. And all of us will look at the people trying to flee tier 4 and we’ll call them selfish. And maybe they are. But in basically every country that implemented a lockdown they at least made some effort to police it. Here we just “strongly advise” and that’s about it. Or pick on easy targets like students who throw a party. People probably should know better, but if the best the government has to offer is a strong word of advice then what do they expect to happen.

Got to agree to a point but you don't want they're lives cut even shorter ,personally I can connect with what you're saying but imagine you got loved ones round for Christmas and they got the virus you would never forgive yourself, just a little example one of my friends a few months ago had a family Sunday roast, 11 of them got covi19 and were very I'll he said to me this is no joke we were all wiped outThis is all fair, but I still think their are maybe families around the country who have very elderly, perhaps lonely relatives who may strongly wish to see their close family- perhaps for one last Christmas. That’s where some common sense and compassion is also needed.
I thought it was stupid to relax the guidelines but I was going to go with it and bought tickets back to Liverpool.
Pretty annoying that they've then made the right decision too late for a lot of people. I don't get paid til after Christmas and can't get a refund on the tickets and was suppling the wine and beer for the house and was planning to stay at my mums for a week without any food bills.
Proper struggling to put together a proper Christmas dinner and buy food til Christmas eve now.
Although I do have a vast selection of beer, wine and whisky so I guess it's not all bad.
