The way I see all this is like we’re doing a 100m dash. Left on our own and we sprint to the finish line as a winner but cause untold disaster. So instead we hang back (restrictions) to run along side our slow best mate (vaccine) and try hit the finish line together.

Silver spoon generations will never be able to wrap their heads round how vital restrictions will be over the next few months for the NHS. The job they do is so much more difficult than the jobs most of us do on here.

My mum has gone mental. She spent ages trying to justify hairdressers as essential and said it won't get near them as they don't leave in a city. Seems to be the Tory way of thinking, just blaming cities.

Haha I think people are prioritising the wrong things. If all the supermarkets suddenly shut she'd soon whinge then about something actually essential shutting.

We were going to rent a car but it was 350 notes so that went out the window. Then my missus booked coach tickets. I'd have paid the extra 50 quid for the train personally instead of a 6 hour National Express nightmare fully masked lol.

It was 130 quid for the pair, feel like invoicing Boris for it really ha.

I'd genuinely send the scruffy meff a letter mate and tell him you want a refund direct from him lol

Haha after the Christmas dinner I usually survive happily on a diet of single malt and blue cheese until I have to go back to work.

I'll still have a stash of roquefort but it's unlikely to make it to boxing day ha.
I’m in a similar situation to you mate. Got Mon-Weds to get some food in. Will probably be on my own on Xmas day so hope to get plenty of stuff to gorge on. Including Roquefort
