in a time when Ireland is trying to form a government, this kind of reassuring leadership, while not groundbreaking, is very important.

yeah I get you and he acted like a politician should. The bar in the UK and US is so low that a little normal political swagger seems impressive. It’s just most of the people I talk to in Ireland don’t see the point in delaying a shut down. My Facebook wall wants him practically lynched haha wouldn’t go that far.

Yep, last went Friday they made a paper thin effort at hygiene,just didn’t feel confident in others washing hands wiping stuff down after.

Got a text yesterday to say they were closing for the foreseeable all membership time lapsing is suspended.

I had a walk past before at about 7ish and there was only a few people in there. Usually rammed at that time. Can’t see it staying open for much longer.

Just heard from my wife's mate, who's a copper, works behind a desk now but was a formerly a beat and traffic cop that she's been told to dust her uniform off and prepare to be deployed for riot control. Worrying.

Germany have excellent domestic access to ventilators as many are produced there also would have many more ICU beds compared to your average European country.

If the Irish strategy to combat Coronavirus is to mouth off about Britain as much as possible then it’s heartening to see how the population have embraced it. Gets a bit weird.
