There is ZERO evidence of this though, not a effing jot! You just have decided it is true with no fact based research.

After decades of wearing them in china in their millions there is NO evidence to back up your "claim"
So please tell me how do viruses work in Asia? You seem to be an expert.

Using Asia as an example for facemasks, as much as people wear them not to get sick, there is many that wear them as a fashion accessory as well according to Google.

But you don't know how viruses work in Asia do you? Do you know that people there don't have a heavier case of a simple virus when they do get sick? Do you even know why they started wearing them?

That's the funny thing, saying asians wear them as some sort of benchmark, you don't know why or the effect wearing them has on the population when they do get sick. And I'm not talking about serious viruses here, common colds and the like.

You know that backs up what I'm saying

Human to human transmission. Not generally in the air or on surfaces, human to human transmission. Which is what the mask is doing with covid no? Significantly reducing someone passing covid onto others, wearing it not to protect yourself but protect others.

No, masks don't make you ill, neither do they fully prevent you picking up a virus from an infected person.
What they do is minimise the chance of you passing on the virus should you be already infected yourself.

Yes, agree with this. I was querying the millions in Asia wearing masks daily point.

sure, but I think the q here is more centered on post-pandemic law making?

Having the vaccine probably won’t be made mandatory (civil liberties something something), but those who refuse it should have it made clear to them that they will not be treated if they get covid. That should do the trick. You can’t have it both ways, this is a public emergency.

Wearing masks has always been common in Asia. I'm not even 100% sure why some do it but get on a train or bus in Vietnam and the vast majority will have a mask on.
I've been to Vietnam and I didn't see many but it was the summer so maybe that makes a difference. I know that people wear them when they are ill in Asian countries but people don't wear them every day for the sake of it.

That Forbes article doesn't back up what you said, it says the opposite.

You stated that wearing masks weakens the immune system, this is a myth as the article states this is not the case. The same as the other myth that wearing masks causes you to inhale more carbon dioxide.

Why people believe peddled nonsense like this all the time instead of the experts i don't know.

Nah honestly lots do; like I say I don't even know why a lot of the time. I noticed it more on public transport though. I thought maybe in China it might have had something to do with them trying not to tan.

I saw a few in Bangkok, but when i got to my resort after a 3 hour journey i barely saw anyone wearing a face mask.
