I’m not even defending them, I’m trying to talk to you as one blue to another, you’ve probably spent more time posting in here than most threads and I’m genuinely concerned about you man
Dont worry about me.

This news is very troubling. Whatever else has happened in the past few weeks, this is top of the pile in terms of impact. People need to grasp what's happened here.

What are you going on about?

Do you not think the movement aspect of this vaccine wouldn't have been know until today?

This is utter nonsense and you know it. Too me it's tantamount to an admission that the Oxford vaccine is practically 'kin useless and the Pfizer vaccine is being hoarded. There cant be any other explanation for this lot to break EVERY single commitment to rolling out a plan that saw care homes and then the very elderly a vaccine jab as part of the first people who received.

I am going on about the fact that this vax cant be moved much.

You are swinging in, 4 weeks before the date they said the elderly would get a vax, and making frankly weird stuff about hoarding a vax, that cant be. It literally has a sell by date of 4 days.

The Oxford one is in final approval, is safe, can be stored in a fridge, and we have 100m of them on order.

But nah. Lets give the vulnerable a placebo.

HS2 is a waste of money, if anything we need to sort out the railways we have first, they also have just pumped another £300m in recently to sort out asbestos issues, it's not needed and isn't wanted other than by a few MP's who need to get to Westminster a bit quicker.

HS2 will increase capacity across the network. Not sure why you’re acting like HS2 will exist in isolation.

The existing network has pretty much zero additional capacity as far as I know.

A submission into the HS2 review has found that over 50 stations that are not part of the HS2 network will be able to offer more train services once HS2 is built.
Analysis by Sub-national transport body, Midlands Connect and sent to the Oakervee HS2 Review found that of the 73 locations that could benefit from HS2’s released capacity, 54 are stations not even served by HS2 trains.
That’s because of the great sucking sound caused by HS2 taking intercity trains off the regional railways and releasing tons more space on the railways for the regional services that carry commuters and families between the smaller cities.
As has been previously reported, although the headlines talk about the High Speed intercity element of HS2, the big impact is actually the average commuter heading into work each day.

Anyway this is wildly off topic lol

947 deaths in France bloody hell
They’re one of these countries that only counts certain deaths every few days and then bungs them into a daily total every now and again.

I mean, it’s not good, but we always knew that deaths are a lagging statistic and the way different countries compile their numbers can give big spikes every now and again.

Thats OK then....glad you set my mind at rest. Phew!
Oh dear.

When did the information about not being able to move that vaccine come to light? When was that mentioned as a factor before today? Why are those running the care sector calling this an act of betrayal?

?????????????????????????
Ha Ha.

That first line was an aborted post.

I was about to tag you in when BlueStevies post came up. Forgot to clear my post to you.

Anyway, I was about to tag you to ask what your thoughts on the Guardian article are on what looks like the broken promise to care homes and their workers given the vaccine "cant be moved" and that sector will have to wait or go and get an inferior vaccine (you have a daughter working in that sector?))
