All those families stuck at home together. If one of them has it they're all gonna get it. Nightmare. And only cases getting to hospitals are being tested and recorded now so the official figure is likely a lot more.

I understand why the government would want to loan to businesses rather than just give them money, but why is there interest on these loans?

Think their lockdown started about Mar 9 wasn’t it? So my understanding was sometime early next week if the measures were effective is when you should start to se the difference.
Although as @Billy Dean pointed out above there will be household spread - one difference between Italy and with the China lockdown was that in the latter those with symptoms were immediately isolated from family.
