There's much more access, and much more going on.
Hospitality is the only sector in a hard lockdown...and even there it's not complete.
Like what? Will give you schools.

Cinemas were open, theatres were open, some gigs were trialled.
I think it makes a difference if you work normally as you are still out of the house a lot. When you work from home and you're in the house for 23 hours a day every day of the week that makes it a lot more noticeable and the restrictions feel much more significant.
What about the effect that not seeing family could have on elderly people over Christmas after most of the year not seeing them? That option might not be there next year because you've gone to see them this year.
Right.People who simply refuse the vaccine put the other group at more risk is the point I was trying to make.

I can’t imagine how hard it must be for some people, particularly those who live alone and/or have mental health issues.
Food shops, supermarkets, garden centres, hardware stores, building merchants and off-licences, petrol stations, car repair and MOT services, bicycle shops, taxi and vehicle hire businesses, banks, building societies, post offices, loan providers and money transfer businesses, medical services such as dentists, opticians and pharmacies, vets and pet shops, agricultural supplies shops, High Street businesses such as storage facilities, funeral directors, launderettes, dry cleaners, car parks, motorway service stations. Restaurants still do takeaway including alcohol.Like what? Will give you schools.
What about the possibility of killing said elderly people by seeing them over Christmas? Don't know about you but I wouldn't want that on my conscience.

Public transprt is operational, schools, colleges and universities still open.
Perhaps we could leave that decision to the elderly, they’ve managed to get this far through life....

So......
What if , this is just throwing it out there.
You go and get tested prior to seeing people at Christmas, get a negative result and then pose no risk to people?
I mean they have a test that comes back within half an hour now which probably will be rolled out across the country after this lockdown.
