Maybe. Dunno personally.

But aint many restaurants have AC in the UK anyrate, certainly not used these last few months if so. And are thousands of folk going to them?

I know its your latest hobby horse, but genuinely, I dont buy them being open is causing this wave.
It's contributing to it. Even on their own often trailed stats it's cited as 4%-5% of people testing positive having attended a restaurant as the likely place transmission took place. I'd argue it'd be more than that. It's not my hobby horse, all over the world restaurants are shut or limited in some way from operating as per usual because they cause infection.

Because they're generally seen by people as a paragon of things being done right compared to our gov.

Ergo if it's turning crap there, it's no real shock it's turning crap here.

I don`t think the general public look at Germany and think " they`ve got it right " tbh.

I doubt very much whether whats happening in Germany even enters their thoughts.

What`s relevant to people is what`s happening to them and their families, not other countries.

So 95% to 96% of folk havnt. I am not defending restaurants, I honestly dont get it. As in, where and how folk are getting infected. Uni halls? Likely I guess, and maybe that has bled into the wider communities. See little evidence of schools being a major issue mind.

I still see proper SD every day, masks as well. Are loads of folk just ignoring those simple and effective measures still?

Considering people spend most of their days on here discussing graphs and vaccines and measures from all over the world think you'll find that's a big fat no.

I’m sure the good folk of Barrow and West Cumbria are fully aware of the current situation in Germany and it’s a hot topic in every household lol

Not sure what the people of my hometown are discussing but think it's bizarre to suggest we as a nation don't pay attention to how a pandemic is being handled in other countries.

Maybe you don't but I do at least.

Thats good that the shape is now down, but we stopped lock down in what, May, June? Then it still bottomed out till Sept. Then went nuts. Thats what I just dont get.

Weather, so more time indoors in unventilated areas
People going back to work
Restriction fatigue
Universities and, to a lesser extent, schools

Mix and match any of the above and that's pretty much it.
