Amazing that the full destructive effect of lockdowns on people’s health doesn’t seem to result in any measurable effect on the health of society, just anecdotes that actually reflect how the health system doesn’t have that much extra capacity to deal with emergencies.

I have just gone to ask him to hang the washing out, my office stinks of weed, he has burned a hole in the bin and the toilet seat. It is too smelly in there to hang the washing out. I told him I know he has been smoking, he looked at me like Cheech Marin and denied it, I lost the plot, booted the bin across the room, slapped his nose with my fingers and stormed off.
Now feel guiltier than Judas himself even though he has single handedly trashed everything he touches.

Germany cranking the measures up. Amongst other things bars/restaurants to shut until the end of November. Max 2 households to meet outdoors. Grim.

Think it shows that if Germany are getting a lot stricter than people shouldn't complain we're strict over here.

It consumes me. (with my stock disclaimer that I have no need to work or socialise, so can easily, *crosses everything* stay safe).

I think people are getting infected everywhere and nowhere in particular and that's because they don't follow social distancing.

You can wear as many masks or wash your hands as much as you want but being in close prox of someone else is the biggy (for me).

Turn the internet off next time if you want complete compliance or offer bake beans on toast for tea, both scenario's have resulted in threat of social services being contacted in our household.

After all these months, I still just dont get why folk dont follow the simple rules. I say "dont", cos I fully get that some cannot avoid the SD stuff at times.

The internet is a biggie. I am taking his xbox out of my office fo a while. Thing is, he is in isolation so has nothing to do (apart from revise, cook, read, study in general).

Restaurants are shut elsewhere precisely because people spend a long period of time in a confined space and where air conditioning pushes the virus around.

It's not rocket science. These places are Covid19 incubators.

Maybe. Dunno personally.

But aint many restaurants have AC in the UK anyrate, certainly not used these last few months if so. And are thousands of folk going to them?

I know its your latest hobby horse, but genuinely, I dont buy them being open is causing this wave.

Because they're generally seen by people as a paragon of things being done right compared to our gov.

Ergo if it's turning crap there, it's no real shock it's turning crap here.
