Jean-Luc Picard once said

“There can be no justice so long as law is absolute. Even life itself is an excercise in exceptions.”

Really don’t understand what is going through the lawmakers minds or the jobsworths who can’t use common sense to grant exceptions to arbitrary rules when the circumstances clearly warrant them. It’s cruelty, plain and simple.

I can empathise with what that poor bloke had to go through. I don't have an answer. Just very, very sad.

Just reading there that Scotland will open pubs again but they aren't allowed to sell alcohol.

......what's the point? Who the hell will go to a pub to not drink alcohol?

They can in all but level three areas.
It said the belt so the likes of Edinburgh and Glasgow would have those rules applied according to the story.

Again though, what's the point in that? Noone will go the pub if they can't drink. It's a pointless excercise that won't help the pubs in any way.

The report wasn't just talking of pubs, it was talking of restaurants too. And there are gastro pubs that can open.

So.............My Uncle is getting buried on Wednesday and I have been sent a link to be able to watch the service etc on line. I don't mean to sound morbid but has anybody else heard of this service available in the U.K.
Really sorry to hear this mate x

My parish in Armagh had to turn people away at a funeral on Monday. Unheard of but common sense in horrible times. Mourners took it the right way to their credit.

Funerals and Mass are all streamed albeit at a delay.
