It has been for ages mate. I was in Whiston for a biopsy in July and everyone in the hospital had to wear a face covering. As soon as you walk through the door in any hospital, you have to wear a face covering.
Royal completely different then , we only started wearing masks ourselves about 4 weeks ago and now this week it's everyone.

Interesting if they have different policies and one is being said to be filling up fast.

The royal could lose a third of its staff once testing them.

What Wales are doing will have no real impact. A lot will still be open during that 2 week period. Either do it properly or don't do it at all.

The Royal will have more ICU beds than Aintree and Broadgreen but if its about 60 across the 3 they can't have that many. It said in the Echo they can't use the new building this time round because the works have continued which is leaving them more stretched.

I have a distant relation who is in the Royal at the moment, she's in her 80s and had a fall at home. She caught covid whilst she's been in there, hopefully she'll be alright but apparently about 20% of covid patients in the Royal caught it in there.
Someone else quoted me that figure of catching in hospitals at like 5% of the whole number. It can't be that low if even the royal has that many.

Meanwhile we are going back to almost full lockdown from Midnight nationwide in ROI.

Frightening to see what is happening in Wallonia, Liege etc. This thing just loves complacency and not long ago Belgium seemed to have relaxed its grip.

Opening gyms. Have you ever heard such a nunb nuts decision? Record infection rate, highest death toll since June and they allow these places where virus is tramsmitted to re-open.

So, just to recap - the "Tier 3" hard lock down for Very High Risk areas allows pubs to remain open if they serve food, restaurants to stay open, gyms to stay open, retail to stay open, schools to stay open, universities to stay open. So WTF restrictions are in place in reality to stop this runaway virus again? Casinos and leisure centres closed. That's it?

What a 'kin joke these clueless clowns are.

The only serious politicians are to be found in the devolved governments in Scotland, Wales and the north of Ireland.

Reading about the 60 ICU beds across the 3 Liverpool hospitals, they are always over 90% full every winter. How did they think that would be sufficient for this winter with covid alongside everything else?

Some of these 'circuit lockdowns' seem to still have schools open as well. They will be ineffective if schools are kept open.
Have you got kids? We absolutely cannot close infants or junior schools again for the sake of the kids fragile minds. High school maybe..

The mask wearing should have been mandatory from the start. A HUGE problem was opening pubs fully again. The businesses in general behaved but the clientele were wild in places! I know lots of people who were straight back out on it. Social distancing right out the window. Just ridiculous.
