Compared to forcing them by law to leave the house as we do right now?

I have constantly questioned perspective and backed it up with actual statistics. If you read my points I have never really strayed away from the same thing like. Protect the venerable and let everyone else get on with it for the sake of the future .

When the represcussions are far worse than the existence of a virus then that is the point where it is all backwards. Homes lost, jobs lost , businesses lost , mental health issues , forcing elderly to go out where they are at risk , all in the name of protecting.

But I guess me offering actual statistics means nothing now. Basing all of my opinion on the data given to us means nothing.

Because none of this is going to change right now. 6 months time we will still be running the same circles , with the same solutions and still protecting. Either we change the approach or we accept millions of lives potentially get negatively affected , industries get negatively affected. After all who cares if a few businesses go under and the jobs don't exist anymore. Who cares we are forcing elderly out of their homes because suggesting we protect them alternatively is deemed comparable to Harold Shipman.

There has to be normality brought back and that comes at a cost. Whether people like it or not.

Look at the school thing. Not everyone is concerned about their kids education thats pretty clear. They just want them out of the house. People are being selfish and until that stops it will get worse.

Where I live in the US I see teens with no masks in groups not a care in the world and no one doing anything. Their parents will say what can they do blah blah. So take it out of their hands let it be a compliance order and let the law deal with it.

As it is currently illegal to visit anyone but perfectly fine to go to a restaurant or a pub serving food. If someone elderly wants to see their family they have to go out to do it.

Otherwise they remain at home shielding right?

Over 50, not under 18 etc

We have had access to the flu vaccine for God knows how long and don't prioritise everyone in the country. Someone made a good point that the cost of making the covid one may make it unrealistic to make enough for everyone as well.

So back to my question. If you vaccinated everyone who is elderly , vunerable , pregnant etc. What happens to everyone who isn't vaccinated? Do they stay under lockdown measures? Do we still close industries? Because they will still catch the virus , still get sick and still end up in hospital.

Thought you were on about shielding or sommet.

Being honest, we are in tier 1, I have been shielding since before lock down anyrate, so dont really take much notice of all the rules, cos I wont being doing anything different till Feb 2021 at the earliest.
