Also rule of 6 still applies to Liverpool.

So despite the red warning light doomsday scenario of the dreaded tier 3, we can still gather on groups of 6 outside of the home as long as we are good little boys and girls and keep out distance.

Isn't encouraging people to meet in groups the kinda opposite of trying to keep people apart?

China's Covid-19 vaccine candidate is safe and prompts antibody response - early results from study

Still crazy how china managed to contain a brand new virus from out of nowhere to a single city , get rid of it without it travelling anywhere else, return to normal and make the first vaccine all within 10 months.

Very impressive how they have surpassed the rest of the world on creating a vaccine for it and for pandemic control given how many countries had it spread from top to bottom....

Sorry but it sounds like a conspiracy to say it came from a bat at this point. How on earth can china contain a virus to a single location that has crippled most countries it has entered?

Seen any anti mask protests or people crying about the alehouse shutting a bit early over there mate?

Thought not. It might be a clue as to their success.

The lockdown was rigid, and people did exactly as they were told, or they were likely to disappear like.

  • It wasn't contained to just Wuhan. It covered every region in China.
  • China has a centralised epidemic response system
  • They have understanding of similar Pandemic response - Sars-Cov isn't that long ago.
  • They entirely locked down Wuhan for nearly 80 days.
  • They acted quickly to put very strict measures in place - restrictions on public transport, household movements, gatherings. Schools were closed or openings delayed.
  • They already had mountains of PPE and an ability to quickly make more.
  • They had thousands of testing sites across public transport infrastructure
  • They undertook massive amounts of testing and enforced isolation.
  • They massively increased need capacity in Fangcang hospitals so that isolation didn't occur at home. Additionally, they have a very low percentage of people living in care homes. And they don't have particularly high rates of obesity.
  • Since then, they've put very strict measures in place to limit the virus reoccurring and very restrictive measures on entry into the country to stop isolated infection.

You missed they will listen to experts and guys that barely made it out of school won't get air time or be taken seriously over them.

Great points otherwise.

These are anxious times as the path of CV19 is on a straight upward trajectory everywhere around the world after its summertime lull. It’s gonna be a grim winter.

Thats Tier 2.

No mixing indoor or outdoor for tier 3.

It’s purely political. Burnham is scared to be part of a lockdown on his patch in case he picks up some of the blame. Of course if it’s a National lockdown he can blame Boris and wash his hands....he’s a toad......
Some people will die if the economy doesn’t recover...it’s a balance....

The Northern leaders all need to stick together on this one.

Sir Graham Brady and Red Walll Tory MPs have backed Burnham in demanding a sustainable financial package to go into lock down!
