Welcome back Wayne
Looks like Lancashire will go into tier 3 tomorrow.
Must admit it's going to be a nice treat ordering a Cornish pasty with every pint this weekend
But it must have a bit of salad or chips.....

The peripheral damage with this virus is far reaching my wife who is on palatial care was taken in yesterday but I am not allowed to see her as she is in the Amber zone which is like the stop before the red zone. She hasn't got covid so I want to get her out of there asap.
I know she hasn't got long could be days but she would rather die at home than on her own in hospital. I need them to give me a list of her medications and show me
How to crush them and put them through her peg. She also feeds through a tube in her stomach from a machine so they will have to show me how to do it.
We have more medication in our house than many small chemists so I just need to sort it out.
Life's [Poor language removed] really isn't it
Thanks mate much appreciatedI‘m really sorry for you and your wife. I cannot even imagine what you are both going through. You know I’ve followed most of your posts on this and now it’s nearing the end I can but pray that it ends without physical pain, even though the mental anguish is enormous. I’m really sorry mate.....
And if you're not getting paid by work (if you're not lucky enough to be able to work from home). The advice is to carry on and go into work.
The vast majority of people are wearing masks. You can't go in a pub, cafe, coffee shop, shop or restaurant without one on - at least not the ones where I've been.
Supermarkets are the place where you mostly see people not wearing masks, but even then I very rarely see anyone not wearing one (other than kids).
If we are comparing Sweden - compare its deaths to its neighbours with a similar age distribution of population. They had several times more last time I checked.
Also it is wrong to think they didn’t have restrictions - they did and they were strong in places. Secondary schools and universities closed, working from home, bans on large gatherings, social distancing rules etc.
They also have a generous benefit system which did not act as a disincentive to stay off when ill.
I’d just like to say that I’m sure Pete speaks for the whole forum here.I‘m really sorry for you and your wife. I cannot even imagine what you are both going through. I think this is a case of you going off your local area and applying your observations to a nation.
And my local area is in lockdown from tomorrow.
I can only go by what I see mate. And that's the vast majority following the guidance/rules, despite them being illogical (unless they really really can prove that being in a group of 7 is so more dangerous to six).
But appreciate it may not be that way across the country. Just hate them playing the blame game when it's their fault for not having managed the situation at all.
Why can’t it be both their fault and our fault? If we just try score points against each other then the only winner is COVID.
lol lolCountries over Europe closing their restaurants down; the head chimps of the UK Banana Republic are keeping ours open and encouraging ale houses to become restaurants too.
