But I think the communication has been so bad, which is why there’s now a sense that the scientists said “there will be 50,000 cases”, when that wasn’t what they said, which demonstrates that the information they put out there doesn’t land properly.

Government have been awful but I think the media have been worse in terms of communication. They are pumping out rumours all over the place.

Take today for example, all the things that might or might not happen have been reported everywhere before Bojo has made his statement. It was similar to when we thought we might get a £500 retail voucher only to be told we will actually only get a tenner off Monday through Wednesday in August.

I am baffled by the Liverpool lockdown but not cities with comparable orhigher rates. If there was a good reason like a projected escalation in a relatively more vulnerable population then I would understand. But it seems random. The support package for people is not great either.

No they're the overflow for when local hospitals are at capacity in their own covid wards

There's nothing to be confused about we're in tier 3 because our mayors & leaders agreed to it, the other regions with comparable statistics are not because their leaders have a bit more spine and probably see that it's utterly pointless in fighting the virus in its current form and so don't agree with screwing certain sectors for relatively little gain in fighting the virus.
