I am sure somebody will have covered this but if hospitality/pubs are the main problem, how is London controlling it or does that area now have significant herd immunity after the initial wave which we know hit far more than reported?

No one seems to know mate. Or if they do, they aint telling.

Same. Not the sanitiser in the car, but always use them at the supermarket. Take the bins in, wash me hands. Same with shopping. I honestly get that my situation is probably more delicate than most, ergo, I am a bit of a nerd with it, but still, it is so frustrating.

I was with my mom last week. She is quite high risk for bad outcomes. I was well over the top and don't regret a bit of it. Also was not going to take any crap from anyone about it

Same here. As you know, my priority is in the front room, and I am anal about it. (she has an NHS bat phone number just in case ffs!).

Just wish folk with busier, and more important, financially, lives would do the effing basics, as best they can,

Yeah. Mom's town has been in the top 5 towns in the entire US with COVID infection rate by population and my cousin is wanting us all to go out to eat.
Just Koff! We've had one family member die from COVID and multiple others infected. Not having another.

Sake, I barely let my sister near Mom because folks she works with have been exposed.

Blimey.

Its taken 6 months, but my mum, (84) has finally stopped asking me and Nikki to pop over for a coffee.

I am getting so confused, and my life is incredibly simple, so heavens knows how others feel.

For weeks, we were told pubs and restaurants were not a significant source of infections. Now, they are. Maybe its a localised issue I guess.

Then 3000 folk, (?) can go to the Royal Albert Hall, and similar at the O2. But lower league teams cant have 300 in the open air watching them, but can watch from the clubhouse/bar.

Like, the basic messages, hands, face, space, and the protect the NHS stuff early days, were simple, effective, and adhered to. It wasnt difficult, lets face it. But now, for the wider population, not me, it must be bewildering, and undermines the "simple" effective advice.
You do what's right for your missus sir, from reading your posts from start of this crap fest to todays ridiculousness, common-sense seems to be what we should be striving for.

Unfortunately I've found certain posters on this excellent site, that entertains everybodys versiility, they quite enjoy and embrace the doom ladden negative points of angry unjustified tangerine faces...

And ill probably stick you £10 right now they've never had one good moment of life or fun in their puritan ways... We used to call em Daily Mail readers as their angry, upset, frustrated ways shine through... but yet they still wallow in their own self-pity...

Always enjoy your posts Roydo, an enjoyable common sense take in a world of idiots x
